A taxi driver is charging his electric taxi at the Taiyuan South Railway Station on March 15. Taiyuan began in January to change all its 8,000 oil-fueled and hybrid taxis into electric ones and equip electric taxis with intelligent charging posts. The electric taxi is designed to drive 300 kilometers after two hours of charging. There are more than 240 charging posts available in Taiyuan's South Railway Station and in the Changfeng Business District. More charging stations will be installed to meet the needs of taxi drivers.
