Shanxi province publicized 122 major industrial projects on May 12, when the Shanxi-Guangdong industrial cooperation promotion conference was held in Guangzhou.
With investment totaled 267.63 billion yuan ($43.12 billion), the 122 projects involve a variety of fields, from new materials to tourism and modern services. The province aims to speed up industrial restructuring and upgrade through cooperation with the Pearl River Delta in these fields.
Representatives of well-known Guangdong enterprises as well as guests from Hong Kong and Macao were invited for the meeting.
Shanxi is no longer only focus on coal industry, but also the non-coal. The province is now placing priority on efficient and clean coal power, said Wang Yixin, deputy governor of the province.
There are seven priorities in the province's non-coal industry, including cultural tourism, manufacturing, new materials and clean energy, said Wang.
