At the conclusion of the Spring Festival Golden Week, a Taiwan delegation of 34 members, including travel agents, sight-viewing associations, media and airline companies, arrived in Shanxi province for a survey lasting eight days.
At the welcome ceremony for the delegation on Feb 25, a promo of Shanxi tourism was played to introduce eight tourism routes, with eight themes including the province's world heritages, ancient buildings, Jin merchant culture and Yellow River sceneries.
The delegation will carry out onsite surveys of Shanxi's well-known scenic spots, including Mount Wutai, the Yungang Grottos, the Ancient City of Pingyao and the Wang Family Compound.
The Taiwan delegation's visit will further expand Shanxi's name in Taiwan's tourism market and enable Taiwan tourists to better understand the province.
