The second Shanxi Lunar New Year Goods Festival kicked off at the Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center, Shanxi province, on Jan 30. Visitors can enjoy an exhibition of intangible cultural heritages and Jin opera performances, in addition to shopping for New Year's goods.
Shanxi's cultural department joined hands with the Shanxi Association of Arts and Crafts and the Jin Opera Theater to carry out these cultural activities.

The Shanxi Association of Arts and Crafts invited more than 30 enterprises and craftsmen to give performances at the festival. For example, Jia Yinyong, a master of clay sculptures, designed clay dolls that depict children playing traditional games and recalled the childhood memories of visitors.
Other crafts such as paper cutting were also displayed at the festival.
