Beauty of Linfen

More than 100 ink paintings are on display at the National Art Museum of China, giving a vivid portrayal of Linfen's natural and cultural assets. Located in the southwestern part of Shanxi province, Linfen is noted as a cradle of once flourishing civilization along the Yellow River and boasts dynamic folk arts, such as paper-cutting and drum beating. On show is the work of artists including Wu Changjiang, Zhao Meisheng and Yang Lizhou, whose distinctive approach to brushwork engages viewers with the city's ever-changing landscapes.
