Hohhot hosts Shanxi Brands China Tour

Enterprises from Shanxi aim to increase their brand awareness at the Shanxi Brands China Tour which opened at the A3 Exhibition Area of the International Convention Center in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 19, and will end on July 23.

Sun Yuejin, the party secretary and head of Shanxi Department of Commerce, said that Shanxi and Inner Mongolia have achieved a solid foundation for cooperation due to local advantages, favorable natural conditions, national development strategies and a good relationship between the two regions. The fruitful cooperation in various areas has led to economic and social benefits. The fact that the seventh China National Commodities Fair is being held at the same time was another reason for the selection of Hohhot as the host of the Shanxi Brands China Tour, as it offers Shanxi products another opportunity to get a market share in Inner Mongolia.

Sun said that the organizers carefully chose the 40 brands that are participating in the exhibition, in accordance with market conditions in Inner Mongolia and the opinions of enterprises. More than 300 products, divided into eight categories, are showcasing the culture of Shanxi, and products of intangible cultural heritage are also on display – in addition to famous specialties such as Fen Wine, mature vinegar, walnuts and dates.

The Shanxi Brands China Tour is the most influential brands promotional event to be hosted by Shanxi province in recent years. The first stop of the tour concluded at Beijing's Jinyuan Yansha Mall on June 23, and the seven-day event attracted 200 thousand visitors, with sales of 2.06 million yuan ($335,534) and supply contracts worth 29.7 million yuan. An estimated 300 business representatives participated in the event, and they signed more than 190 letters of intent with Shanxi enterprises.
