Jiading district in Shanghai played host to CSITF Release on Dec 6, where 22 creative projects were revealed to the public.

Visitors to the event learned about an education robot for young people aged 8 to 19 years, a lidar system for unmanned vehicles, a soil-less cultured vegetable factory and other cut-edge technologies.

The intelligent plant factory project brought by AEssense Corporation demonstrated how to apply internet of things technology to agricultural production and explained the importance and development trends of indoor plant factories to let visitors have a better understanding of modern agriculture. AEssense improved its production capacity three-fold by upgrading equipment and employing the latest technologies.

CSITF Release was designed to be a platform for enterprises and institutions to showcase their most recent technologies and ideas in Shanghai. It has been held four times since it debuted during the 5th China (Shanghai) Technology Fair (CSITF) in 2017 and has released approximately 100 projects of more than 90 institutions from home and abroad.

The next CSITF will be put on from April 18 to 20 in 2019 and will be hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office and Shanghai Municipality.
