A trade fair displaying the featured products of several national-level poverty-stricken areas is set to take place in Shanghai from Oct 17 to 21.
Jointly organized by the Shanghai municipal government and the Shanghai-based Jiefang Daily, the fair aims to promote the formation of a production and sales system for the featured products of the poverty-stricken areas, to improve the marketization of the products and popularity, and eventually to help the areas get rid of poverty.

All the participating cities and regions, including Dechen county of Yunnan province, Zunyi of Guizhou province, Kashgar of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Shigatse city of the Tibet autonomous region, Wanzhou of Chongqing, and Yiling district of Yichang of Hubei province, will bring their specialty goods to the four venues of the fair.
The four venues of the fair are in Shanghai's Jiading district, Changning district, Minxing distircit, and Pudong New Area.
