About the town
Wake Town is located in the southeast part of Okayama and is noted for its picturesque scenery and beautiful environment. It has a population of 12,000 and covers an area of 84 square kilometers.
Establishment of friendly relations
The former county of Jiading began friendly exchanges with Wake in 1987 and signed an Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation Between Shanghai's Jiading County and Okayama's Wake on October 15, 1992.
