About the county
The county of Limerick is located in the southwest part of Ireland by the Shannon River. With a population of about 110,000 and a long history, the county is easily accessible.
Establishment of friendly relations
In April 2001, when Limerick County Council Chairman Kevin Sheahan visited the district of Jiading, he expressed the wish for friendly exchanges. On March 27, 2002, the two sides signed the Agreement on Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation Between Jiading District of Shanghai Municipality of the People's Republic of China and Limerick County of Ireland.
