A new year reception for foreign experts was held by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) on January 5.

Zhang Jianguo, administrator of SAFEA, attended the reception and sent his regards to all the foreign experts. He said that SAFEA will follow the pilot scheme of Foreigner’s Work Permit launched in 2016 with further open and effective policies. SAFEA will build up a platform for foreigners to realize their dreams and make more friends in China. Zhang said that he wished more foreigners could be civil ambassadors of China and introduce China to more people in their countries.

About 300 representatives from 37 countries and regions and SAFEA officials attended the reception. China Radio International and Beijing Sport University staged a gala for the guests, presenting Chinese art performances and other aspects of traditional Chinese culture.
