The opening ceremony of the 2016 Venture Week for International Elites in Suzhou was held on July 10, attracting 3,087 elite people from home and abroad and 3,042 innovative projects. Xia Mingjiu, deputy administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and Zhou Naixiang, municipal party secretary of Suzhou, attended the ceremony.

Xia said that “human resources is the key resource”, and the Venture Week for International Elites will become a high-level platform to introduce overseas expertise.

Zhou said that Suzhou needs more talented individuals, and he hoped that more experts would learn about Suzhou through this venture week, and come to the city to live and work.

Other officials also took part in the ceremony.
