Zhang Jianguo, director general of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, led a delegation to Russia and the US during May 7-14. The delegation also attended a meeting in Moscow where President Xi Jinping met with Russian experts who helped China and their families.

During his stay in Russia, Zhang participated in preparations for Xi's meeting with Russia experts and attended a preliminary meeting as well as a ceremony where China-Russia friendship souvenir medals were issued.

Zhang Jianguo, director general of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, talked with the US preparatory committee of the 11th SATEC in Washington.

During his stay in the US Zhang met with Zhao Qing, convener of the US preparatory committee of the 11th SATEC, and Wu Tongqing, secretary-general of the committee. They settled on SATEC's theme and sub-topics, as well as the time for two preparatory meetings. Both sides reported their studies and meeting preparations. Zhang talked with International Executive Service Corps President Tom Miller. They signed an agreement that will enable senior experts from IESC to come to China and offer their service.
