The High-level Forum of Ecological Shandong and the seventh International Exhibition on Green Industry (IEGI) opened Nov 9 in Qingdao, Shandong province.

More than 160 exhibitors from different countries and regions, including South Korea, the US, Canada, Taiwan and Hong Kong, took part in the exhibition.

Lasting until Nov 11, the IEGI was jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Environmental Protection and the Qingdao government, under the theme of 'Developing Green Industry, Constructing Ecological Civilizations'.

Four high-level forums on environmental protection and related green technologies, and eight investment project matchmaking symposia were held during the exhibition, hoping to spur further investment in environmental technologies and the practical application of green technologies.
