The 2016 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is set to be held from June 22 to 24 in Qingdao, Shandong province, according to a news conference held by the city's information office.

Themed as "educational reform in the Internet era" and "educational agenda in 2030", the three-day event is expected to attract some 500 representatives worldwide from educational organizations, the information and communications industry and nonprofit organizations.

An exhibition to display the latest in information and communication technologies will also be held during the conference.

The International Conference on ICT and Post-2015 Education was held in May last year. The key finding of the conference was the adoption of the Qingdao Declaration, which provides member states with policy recommendations for harnessing the power of ICT to address current educational challenges, and to ensure equitable quality education and lifelong opportunities for all.
