The coastal city of Qingdao, East China's Shandong province will be host to the 2015 China (Qingdao) International Software Convergence and Innovation Expo to be held from July 2 to 4, the Chinese-language Qingdao Daily reported on May 5.

The three-day event themed "ICT (Information Communication Technology) promoting Internet Industry", aims at facilitating ICT applications in product innovation, R&D, design, manufacturing and marketing in the enterprises.

The expo will be held in the Qingdao International Convention Center, which will be divided into six exhibition areas to display the city's achievements in software, smart city building, 3D printing technology, mobile Internet, Internet of Things and Beidou satellite navigation system.

Co-sponsoring the event will be the Industry and Information Technology Ministry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Qingdao government.
