India investment symposium in East China

The city of Qingdao, Shandong province sponsored an Indian investment symposium on Nov 7, drawing in nearly 150 representatives from Indian and Qingdao enterprises, such as the Haier Group and Shandong Electric Power Corp.

Liu Mingjun, the city’s deputy mayor, took part the symposium where Ashok K. Kantha, India's ambassador to China, spoke in relation to the theme of Indian investment opportunities.

Also addressing the gathering was the chief representative of the confederation of Indian industry, Madhav Sharmar, whose talk concerned the importance of chambers of commerce in investment promotion.

In addition, the Deloitte Global Chinese Services Group described the laws and regulations concerning investment in India.
