Qingdao officials receive Dutch delegation

The mayor of the city of Qingdao, Shandong province, Zhang Xinqi, met with Marleen Zuijderhoudt, president of the West Holland Foreign Investment Agency, the Netherlands, and Henk Kool, a former vice-mayor of the Hague, in the city’s Shangri-La Hotel, on Nov 10, where Zhang gave them a warm welcome and described the city’s economic and social development.

Zhang, who was accompanied by Qingdao’s deputy mayor, Liu Mingjun, commented that Qingdao and the Hague have seen their trade cooperation and cultural exchanges increase in recent years and said that he hopes the city will continue to learn from the Hague about disaster prevention, agriculture, and the flower business and cooperate more in trade, port logistics and tourism with some winning results.

Zuijderhoudt reinforced this by saying that the two cities have seen greater cooperation and said she hopes it will increase thanks to the agreements they reached on trade and tourism.
