Qingdao museum holds ink painting exhibition

A modern ink painting exhibition at the Municipal Museum of Qingdao, Shandong province got off to a good start, on Nov 7, with works of more than 30 artists from the mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong, such as Liu Guosong, Bai Hai and Liang Dongcai, who have infused traditional ink painting with some new vigor and their own innovative techniques.

Sponsors of the show are the Qingdao museum and the Liu Guosong Contemporary Art Center. Liu Guosong is an art professor at National Taiwan Normal University and recognized as one of the earliest, most important advocates of modern Chinese painting. His works are collected by museums and art galleries in more than 70 countries, and he has had more than 100 solo exhibitions worldwide.
