Qingdao official talks with Malta Labor Party

The deputy Party secretary of the city of Qingdao, Shandong province, Wang Wei, met with a delegation of the Labor Party of Malta, headed by Tony Abela, its deputy head, in the city’s Shangri-La Hotel, on Oct 30, where the two groups went on to visit the Haier Group and Shandong Shipping Corp and discussed matters of common interest.
Wang painted a picture of the city’s economic and social development and said that there is real potential and good prospects in cooperation and voiced the hope that the visitors could use this opportunity sit to promote agreements in ocean transportation, port logistics and trade.
Abela responded by saying that he hopes the two can increase exchanges to bring more benefits to both peoples.
Malta is an island country in the Mediterranean that consists of an archipelago of seven islands, giving it great strategic importance as a naval base throughout history. It is a popular tourist destination as well with a warm climate, numerous recreational areas and historical monuments.
