The coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, is hosting the 4th World Congress of Nano Science and Technology, in its West Coast New Area, Oct 29-31, and is expecting more than 200 personnel from universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises from China and abroad, coming for academic exchanges on nanotechnology in fields as various as medicine, electronics, biotechnology and manufacturing.

This three-day annual event will also have a nanotechnology industrial cooperation conference involving scientists and representatives of nano-related enterprises and scientific researchers, with the New Area’s business and scientific and technology sectors on hand to describe its investment environment and hi-tech development.

Sponsors of this year’s congress are the Information Research Center for International Talent, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Qingdao Council, whose goal is to provide a special event for nanoscience and nanotechnology professionals, and to present recent breakthroughs and successes in this special field.
