New Zealand city mayor pays a visit to Qingdao

The mayor of the city of Dunedin, New Zealand, Dave Cull, visited the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, on Oct 22, to sign a memorandum of understanding concerning an economic partnership and to get a look at Ocean University of China and Qingdao University.

Ma Weigang, head of Qingdao’s bureau of commerce, spoke at length with Cull on cooperation in investment and trade, the marine economy, and education and the Qingdao municipal government said that the city will repay this visit with one to Dunedin, this November.

Taking part in the visit were Dunedin government officials, representatives of the New Zealand’s Otago Chamber of Commerce, and University of Otago also took part in the visit.
