Dream Chaser, the mascot of the 24th Qingdao International Beer Festival, recently made its debut.

The mascot was designed with a horse in mind for the second time in the beer festival’s history. It represents the festival’s beautiful future.

Qingdao International Beer Festival, the largest beer festival in Asia, is scheduled to begin on August 16 and will last for 16 days in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Themed “Citywide Joy Brings Passion to Everyone”, the festival will begin with a grand opening ceremony, followed by various entertainment activities such as beer tasting, drinking competitions, carnival events and so on. Visitors can get 0.5 liters of beer with a coupon worth 30 yuan ($5), according to the festival’s information office.

The festival’s epicenter will be Laoshan Century Square, covering more than 200,000 square meters.

The first Qingdao beer festival opened on June 23, 1991, and it has been held annually ever since. Today, the festival enjoys a wide reputation both nationally and worldwide.
