Sino-US high-tech industry dialogue opens in Qingdao

The Qingdao-Silicon Valley (US) International Dialogue on Innovation of High-Tech Industry and Capital opened in Qingdao on Aug 15. The government of Qingdao Hi-Tech Zone and Silicon Valley signed the Sino-US (Qingdao) Innovation Park Cooperation Framework Agreement, according to Chinanews.com.

Experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, economists from Silicon Valley, and entrepreneurs from Beijing and Qingdao joined the dialogue. They discussed the high-tech industry trend and identified areas where China and the US could further cooperation.

Both sides agreed to establish an innovation park in Qingdao where they could work in the software industry, biomedicine and high-end facility industry. By drawing upon US managerial experience and technological resources, Qingdao strives to advance its high-tech industry.
