The Shandong 2013 Food Safety Awareness Week kicked off in Qingdao on June 17. During the opening ceremony, 17 cities in Shandong collaborated to build a cities alliance for food safety, Bandao.cn reported.

The alliance will strengthen information and experience exchanges on food safety management to promote a collaborative network within Shandong.
