Shibei district kicked off land construction for the first love-themed park in Qingdao on May 22, Qingdao Morning News reported.

According to the urban administrative bureau of Shibei district, the park was designed by experts from Tongji University. The park will serve as a new natural studio for newlyweds. Together with Badaguan Beach, a popular wedding photo area in Shinan district in Qingdao, the park will offer a view of the sea and mountain, representing loyalty and eternal love in Chinese tradition.

The first phase of the project is expected to finish by July. The park will welcome its first group of visitors by the end of October. The second phase will subsequently start thereafter. It is scheduled to finish next year.
