The Dongjiakou community project had its opening ceremony on April 9. Aimed at housing people from 16 villages, it is estimated to cover an area of 100 hectares. The project will be carried out in stages. At its first stage, it intends to install people from four villages in an area of 26.7 hectares with an investment amounting to 1.4 billion yuan ($226 million).

The project is expected to equip Dongjiakou community with a kindergarten, primary schools, senior housing apartments and urban markets. A natural gas heating system is being proposed considering all the advantages offered by LNG and its pipeline network. Once the first phase of work is finished, the rest would proceed according to the construction progress of Dongjiakou Port.
