The Ningbo government issued a notice yesterday specifying the hours and places for setting off fireworks during the Spring Festival from February 6 to 23.

Fireworks are banned in many places, such as Cicheng Town, Lishe International Airport, local textile markets, heritage sites, hospitals and schools. Most urban districts restrict the use of fireworks.

People can set off fireworks within certain hours of the day. Wholesalers are not allowed to deliver fireworks to retail stalls before February 3.

If severe air pollution occurs, fireworks will be banned immediately across the city. A special law enforcement team will patrol the streets during the holiday to stop violations.
