A strong cold front will bring snowfall and even blizzard to Ningbo from tomorrow to Friday, blanketing the city and its hilly area with snow of up to 10 centimeters.

The snow will stop on Saturday but the temperature will drop to minus 5 to minus 8 degrees Celsius from Sunday to Tuesday. The hilly area will be four to five degrees colder. Ice will form with the coldest weather in 30 years.

Officials said Ningbo has sufficient food supply. About 6,000 tons of vegetables have been stocked. Another 4,000 tons and 5,000 pigs are on the way. In the next few days, 260 tons of vegetables and 2,200 pigs will enter local markets every day.
