Ningbo and Slovenia

Ningbo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Slovenian city Maribor in June 2014, envisaging cooperation in economy, trade and education. In September 2014, Ningbo established friendly ties with Slovenian port city of Koper, which borders Adriatic Sea and is one of the busiest ports among the CEE countries.

Ningbo and Slovenia

The two sides have enjoyed ever-increasing exchanges in recent years. The total export and import volume between Ningbo and Slovenia rose by 19.4 percent in 2014, mainly in steel products, apparel, lighting products and fabrics. By the end of 2014, six Slovenian investment projects in Ningbo have been approved, mainly focusing on lighting products. Let’s look forward to deeper cooperation between the two sides in the first China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo to be held from June 8 to 12.
