Wuxi National High-tech District is working to create a more livable environment and promote the fusion of industry and city.

Only by improving the level of meticulous urban management can Wuxi create a better environment for the integration of industry and city life, official said.

Because the city's image enhancement depends mainly on urban management, officials noted that management should be "as sophisticated as embroidery".

Since last year, WND has made great efforts to improve its urban environment, carrying out special actions to rectify the weak links of urban environment management.

According to the data analysis of the 12345 platform, a government management and service hotline, the rectification actions have achieved remarkable results, and the number of complaints on related issues has been greatly reduced.

The smart urban management platform built by the district also helps greatly improve the efficiency of work and management. For example, after heavy rains, areas with deep water can send out information through sensor devices, prompting messages that help citizens avoid problem areas. Engineering vehicles with unsecured construction waste can be identified and immediately locked on site.

WND has taken the lead in building the intelligent urban management system and dynamic event management, which has played an important role in improving urban fine management, official said.

"An intelligent urban management platform uses the internet, internet of things, big data and other technologies to implement all-round monitoring on urban greening, public sanitation, parking, lighting, advertising and other aspects" of urban life, an official explained. "It effectively improves urban fine management through technical means."

The former Wuxi New District, now known as Wuxi Xinwu district or Wuxi National Hi-tech district, was founded in 1992 and underwent administrative changes in 1995, 2002 and 2005.
