Wuxi's National High-tech District has strengthened its efforts to recruit professional cultural talents, so as to better serve the development of related industries.

WND not only formulated a plan to develop cultural talents but also created a guideline to promote the implementation of that plan. Under the guideline, WND will fully promote cultural talent cultivation in a series of fields, such as culture and art, integrating culture and tourism with the cultural industry. It will employ a group of influential cultural experts and scholars as cultural consultants.

Referring to the related talents development policies of Jiangsu province and Wuxi city, WND will also recommend, select and introduce a group of cultural leaders and young talent. Meanwhile, it will strengthen the promotion of high-level talents and their works.

WND will also promote the construction of a cultural volunteer service team, with a cultural volunteer association established in the city's Xinwu district.

In addition to supporting organizations and individuals to form cultural volunteer associations voluntarily, WND also focuses on cultivating young cultural volunteers and incubating volunteer service organizations, whose members are mainly made up of people in cultural enterprises and the high-tech industry.

Based on the needs of the public, WND thoroughly plans cultural volunteer service projects, trying to make its cultural volunteer service become more personalized, characteristic, specialized, refined and long-term.

WND also provides convenience and guarantees for cultural volunteers to participate in the management, operation and serving of public cultural facilities, so as to make cultural volunteer service more accessible.

The former Wuxi New District, now known as Wuxi Xinwu district or Wuxi National Hi-tech district, was founded in 1992 and underwent administrative changes in 1995, 2002 and 2005.
