Alibaba Innovation Center to open in Wuxi

The Innovation Center of Alibaba group opened in Wuxi New district of Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Nov 10.

With the cooperation with Wuxi Dreamers Company and Wuxi New district, Alibaba Innovation Center is designed to support new innovation enterprises with competitive resources and gather enterprises of global cloud computing, big data and IoT industry together.

Wuxi Dreamers Company has applied a fund to offer new innovation enterprises with Alibaba Cloud voucher valued at 10,000-30,000 yuan ($1500-4500), allowing them to use all the products of Alibaba Cloud.

Alibaba Innovation Center is expected to bring a new technological ecosystem to Wuxi.

Chelaile App, which provides real-time bus information and bus schedules, relies on Alibaba Cloud to receive more data on passengers and invent products suitable for all users.

Shi Xiangbo, director of strategic cooperation, introduced that a total of 35 Alibaba Innovation Centers has been built in 25 cities nationwide until July, 2017, covering an area of over 100,000 square meters.

"Covering an area of 1,572 square meters, 25 teams have entered Wuxi center, up to 52 percent", said Guo Jiongming, manager of Alibaba Innovation Center Wuxi center.

"We have held 12 events to help 87 enterprises apply for funds worth 1.38 billion yuan", Guo added.

The former Wuxi New District, now known as Wuxi Xinwu district or Wuxi National Hi-tech district, was founded in 1992 and underwent administrative changes in 1995, 2002 and 2005.
