Nantong promotes intellectual property protection

Nantong Customs of Jiangsu province signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the city's sub-council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on Sept 15, informed an official.

The MoC aims to provide services such as intellectual property protection to the city's foreign trade enterprises.

The official also said that the memorandum is the first of its kind in Jiangsu. And after signing it, the local customs will help members of the sub-council with the filing and general guarantee procedures of intellectual property as well as exchanges of information about infringement on their rights.

Later after the signing ceremony, the two organizations also organized a lecture regarding customs policies with the idea of helping local enterprises get a better understanding of intellectual property protection measures. More than 150 enterprises took part in the event.
