Nantong Rich Medical Group was founded in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), Jiangsu province, on Nov 31. Qu Baoxian, secretary of NETDA's Party working committee, and some city officials attended the opening ceremony.
As the first private medical enterprise in the province, the group consists of a string of medical organizations. Apart from Nantong Rich Hospital, it also includes 25 physical examination centers in first-tier cities in China and five Shanghai-based high-end hospitals cooperating with well-known hospitals.
Since Nantong Rich Hospital was founded in 2000, it has focused on businesses based on hospitals, physical examinations, services for the elderly, franchised clinics and Internet medical treatment, creating a health service platform covering the whole life cycle.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
