Lin Sirong, president of the China Nantong Industrial Exposition City, was invited to take part in the 2014 APEC CEO Summit in Beijing on Oct 9 and 10. Lin listened to the keynote speech delivered by President Xi Jinping and discussed the opportunities brought by regional economic integration and multi-lateral trade with other participants.

The China Nantong Industrial Exposition City, located in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, is a large procurement base of hardware, machinery and construction materials in the Yangtze River Delta Area. It covers a construction area of 260,000 square meters, where more than 500 companies have settled.

In the “new normal” economic period, local companies should strengthen interconnections and take advantage of various government policies and the upcoming Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific to jointly go out, said Lin after attending the APEC meeting.

The APEC CEO Summit is the most influential activity in business circles of the Asia-Pacific region. Over 1,500 participants from roughly 1,200 enterprises all over the world participated in the summit this year.
