Nantong opens calligraphy exhibition

The 2014 Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy Work Exhibition opened in the city of Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Oct 15.

The exhibition, co-hosted by the academy and publicity department of Nantong, displays nearly 100 works from Jiangsu calligraphers Guan Jun, Yuwen Jialin, Zhang Liutao, Bai He, Li Shuangyang, Lu Libin, Lu Heng and Zhang Jianhua.

Jiangsu, with its long tradition of calligraphy, boasts many calligraphers. The Jiangsu Calligraphy Academy, founded in Sept 2011, is part of the Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Institute, which boasts the most competitive group of calligraphers in the country.
