The Nantong Economic and Technological Area (NETDA) of Jiangsu province announced the beginning of construction work on Universal Fortune Harbor, on June 6, with more than a hundred guests from China and abroad taking part in the launch ceremony.
Universal Fortune Harbor, in the Nengda business district of the city of Nantong, has a total construction area of 200,000 square meters, with a super high-rise multi-purpose building that will contain an international finance center, R&D center, food plaza, shopping mall, corporate HQ, offices and luxury apartments.
This area is a joint project of the Rundili Group and China City Construction Holding (Group) Co, a State-owned enterprise that specializes in urban development and involves cooperation agreements with strategic partners who were present at the opening ceremony. The officials and guests present all said they believe the harbor will play an important role in local real estate and economic development and attract investment and improve the value of the surrounding area.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
