Nantong is leading a new round of opening-up programs to better connect with the Shanghai FTZ in trade and financial innovations.

Nantong Mayor Zhang Guohua said the city has made efforts to learn from practice in the Shanghai FTZ and to upgrade policies concerning administrative services in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Nantong.

The zone will streamline approval procedures and administrative rules. Related programs will be given better support and targeted investment introduction will be enhanced to bring in more potential projects.

The city will make progress in promoting special management measures for related sectors and in reforming the policies for registration of industrial and commercial entities, trade management and financial innovation.

Zhang said the bonded zone will take the lead in promoting the development of an export-oriented local economy.
