The Taiwan Association of Small & Medium Enterprises delegation visited Nantong city of Jiangsu province on March 24 and signed an agreement with the Nantong municipal government to set up the Taiwan Small & Medium Enterprise Demonstration Park in NETDA.

The association was established in 1972, which is one of the six major commerce associations in Taiwan.

The plan of setting up the demonstration park will surely create a win-win situation for both parties.

Ding Dawei, the secretary of the Nantong municipal Party committee, said that Nantong's economic achievement benefits from the opening-up strategy. The Taiwan Association of Small & Medium Enterprises has played a significant role in promoting economic cooperation between Nantong and Taiwan. We believe that the establishment of the demonstration park will help Nantong develop into a popular investment destination in Southeast China.

  • The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
