AAK Group president visits Nantong

Sun Jianhua, vice-mayor of Nantong, met with Arne Frank, president and CEO of  AAK  in Nantong, Jiangsu  province.

Swedish AAK Group President and CEO Arne Frank came to Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Oct 7 to survey the investment environment of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area. Sun Jianhua, vice-mayor of Nantong, met with Arne Frank, a local authority reported.

AAK’s head office is in Malmö, Sweden. The group is the largest manufacturer of food ingredients and additives in Europe, with its specialty vegetable fats taking up nearly 50 percent of the European market share. AAK Group set up its China head office in Shanghai in 2011 and is expected to establish its first factory in China in the near future.

AAK Group's top management visited Nantong in August this year.

Sun introduced Nantong's social and economic development as well as its location, resources, transportation and basic situation concerning industry, talent and infrastructure. He said the city will provide first-grade services and hoped AAK Group can invest in the city soon.

Setting up its first factory is an important step for AAK to explore the Chinese market, said Arne Frank. In addition, Nantong's water transportation, logistics and improved infrastructure will also bring the company great convenience, he added.
