A research group from Jiangsu Province's Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Overseas (Foreign Affairs) Committee paid a visit to Nantong, on Aug 16 to do a survey of the protection and promotional help Taiwan-backed enterprises get in the city, which already has 2,100 Taiwan-backed projects.

These are worth $6 billion, putting the city in second place in investment from Taiwan projects in the province for seven consecutive years, meaning that it is rapidly becoming a destination for investment from Taiwan.
