There was a seminar on management improvement systems at the Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) of the city of Nantong, Jiangsu province, on May 31, to give managers in the city a better understanding of modern management practices and international management models.
The organizers were Nantong Tuyou Consulting and the TÜV SÜD Group, a global provider of training and consulting services and they brought in managers from over 30 prominent enterprises, such as Ctrip.com International, Nantong AMC Machinery, and Federal Software (Nantong).
Wang Weibo, TÜV SÜD Greater China's management department GM, spoke about how enterprises of various sizes cut costs, improve quality and competiveness, and tap potential markets, and gave optimal improvements for management systems.
TÜV SÜD was founded in 1866 and is one of the world's leading technical services providers, with its own laboratory network worldwide, more than 800 representative offices, and a total of 18,000 employees.

The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
