NETDA holds job fair for local people

A job fair has been held for the first time to help local people who lost their land in the Tongsheng community of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), Jiangsu province, find employment.

The fair was held on May 23, and it had information on more than 1,700 job vacancies – mainly for positions as mechanical workers and welders – with over 60 companies.

Due to the rapid economic development, an increasing number of people in the area don't have land any longer for government-backed land acquisition. The area administrative committee takes measures to enable them find jobs.
