Resin project goes into operation in NETDA

A project of the Nantong branch of Japan's Asahi Organic Chemicals Co involving the production of phenolic resin went into operation in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), in Jiangsu province on May 17.

The project has an investment of $7.2 million yuan and uses leading technologies to produce specialized phenolic resin for LCDs, printing plates, automobile engines and other auto parts.

The Japan-based Asahi Organic Chemicals Industry Co Ltd was established in 1945 with eight wholly-owned subsidiaries around the world, and produces industrial phenolic resin and PVC plastic valves and pipes.
