NETDA launches charity service activity

Volunteers from government agencies, enterprises, financial institutions and fire brigades in NETDA gathered in West Square on Jan 29 to hold an opening ceremony for a Spring Festival charity service activity. Volunteers were first divided into six teams before they delivered 1 million yuan ($160,750) in funds and materials raised for poor people in NETDA.

Charity organizations in NETDA adhere to the task of poverty alleviation and are exploring new methods for charity development. Fundraising efforts are improving and their ability to help others continues to grow. A donation of 5 million yuan was raised in 2012, and more than 2 million yuan was disbursed to 3,038 needy people.
