NETDA holds safety production meeting

NETDA held a safety production meeting and fire prevention meeting on the morning of Jan 25. Nearly 350 people attended the meeting. Chen Qi, member of the Party work committee and vice-chairman of the management committee, conducted the meeting. Dong Kexin, deputy secretary of the Party work committee and vice-chairman of the management committee, delivered a work report. Qiang Qiang, deputy secretary of the Party work committee and chairman of the management committee, gave an important speech at the meeting.

The number of production accidents and death tolls both dropped in 2012. The management committee has organized four safety production inspections altogether. A total of 12,000 hidden dangers were eliminated, and 15 million yuan ($2.4 million) was used to reform 25 major hidden dangers. Overall 182 enterprises passed the standardized assessment.

Qiang Qiang stressed the importance of safety production and highly praised production safety work in 2012. He said that more attention must be paid to prominent problems in 2013. For follow-up work, NETDA should enhance safety awareness and accident prevention. Political awareness and responsibility should be intensified in order to guarantee the fast development of NETDA.
