The Youth League Committee of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) established the community Youth League Committee for Xinghu Commercial Center on October 19.

Xinghu Commercial Center is a high-end commercial street integrating hotel, catering, entertainment, business and tourism facilities. There are currently 104 businesses on the street with over 1,000 young people employed there, 70 percent of whom are migrant workers. The Youth League Committee of NETDA has set up two general branches and 68 branches to unite more league members to play a more active and effective role in the development of Xinghu Commercial Center and NETDA.

In the future, the Youth League Committee of NETDA will push forward overall league organization in Xinghu Square and the community. By the end of 2012 the whole region will be covered by league organizations. In addition, joint league committee branches will be set up among league members who are in similar or related industries and have similar hobbies and interests. These kinds of league committee branches are more attractive to young people, and are more cohesive.

Yang Jingjing, deputy secretary of the Municipal Youth League Committee, and Fan Zhiqiang, member of the NETDA Party Working Committee, addressed the founding ceremony.
