With an area of 5.29 square kilometers, Nantong integrated free trade zone implements a development pattern of "One Zone; Two Districts". District A is located within the range of the former Export Processing Zone whereas District B is located in the east side of Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge and on the south side of the high-class highway along the river. The two districts, in accordance with the requirements of having distinctive characteristics, intensive land use and industrial convergence, make use of local conditions and carry out dislocation development to build Nantong free trade zone into an important carrier for promoting the transformation and upgrade of processing trade, for nurturing the emerging high-end industry, and for stimulating regional economic development.
