Wuhan holds gaming industry annual conference

Over 1,000 representatives from enterprises including Tencent, Shengda, Perfect World and Giant attended the tenth China Game Industry Annual Conference (CGIAC) which was held from Dec 26 to 28 in the East Lake Hi-Tech Zone in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province.

The representatives discussed the 2013 Chinese gaming industry annual report and other subjects including industrial capital and cooperation. China’s gaming industry generated 83.17 billion ($13.71 billion) in 2013, an increase of 38 percent compared to last year, and the overall user number reached 490 million, a year on year growth of 20.6 percent, according to the “2013 CGIAC Report”.

People from all walks of life in China enjoy such games, and the Chinese gaming industry focuses on PC client-based titles, browser games and mobile gaming.

A total of 200 enterprises involved in the gaming industry, including SG, Hubei Shengtian Network and Baina Information, are located in Wuhan and the city is ranked eighth most important city in this industry in China.
